Black Panthers : Is it your first trip to Europe or to France? (C’est ton premier voyage en Europe ou en France ?)
KB : Yes, this is my first trip to Europe, and it will not be my last.
F : Oui c’est mon premier et ce ne sera pas mon dernier.
BP: What is your feeling about this first experience in football in France? (Quels sont tes impressions à ton arrivée ici ?)
KB : I love it! It has been everything that I wanted. My teammates are great and the coaches are very knowledgeable. Everyone seems very dedicated and driven to continue the winning tradition of the Black Panthers. The facilities are fantastic and provide a great platform for success.
F : J’adore! C’est exactement ce que je voulais. Mes coéquipiers sont super et les coaches ont beaucoup de connaissance. Tous le monde semblent très dédiés à continuer la tradition d’excellence des Black Panthers. Les infrastructures sont fantastiques et propose un excellente plateforme pour notre succès.
BP : What do you know about American Football in France/Europe? (Qu’est ce que tu savais du football américain en France/Europe ?)
KB :Not much, to be quite honest. Trying to learn more and more everyday.
F : Pas beaucoup, pour être honnête j’essai d’en apprendre plus à chaque
BP : What do you know about the city of Thonon and the Black Panthers Football team? (Que savais tu de Thonon les Bains et de son équipe de Football US ?
KB : I know that Thonon is a small city in France of approximately 34,000 people and has some incredible views, most of which I have never seen before. I know the Black Panthers have a tradition of winning and are one of the best organizations in Europe. I feel honored to be a part of it.
F : Je sais que Thonon est une petite ville en France d’approximativement 34,000 personnes et qu’elle propose des paysages à coupé le souffle, que je n’avais jamais vu auparavant. Je sais que les Black Panthers ont une tradition d’excellence et qu’ils sont une des meilleurs organisations en Europe. Je suis honoré d’en faire partie.
BP :For how many years did you play at University? How many years have you been playing football all together? (Depuis combien de temps tu joues au niveau universitaire et au total combien d’année de Football ?)
KB : I played at the University of Berkeley, California (Cal) for 3 years. I graduated in 2015. I have been playing football since fourth or fifth grade, so a total of 11 years.
F : J’ai joué à l’Université de Berkeley en Californie pour trois ans. J’ai gradué en 2015. Je joue au football depuis la quatrième ou cinquième année, donc un total de 11 année.
BP : You’ve played other positions in addition to your position, can you tell us about that? (Tu as joués d’autres postes au Football ?)
KB : In youth football I played a lot of different positions such as: DE, RB, CB and QB. In high school I played strictly QB. In college I was recruited to play QB, but also saw playing time at slot receiver during camp, and played special teams during games (punt block and kick off return).
F : Au football mineur j’ai joué plusieurs positions comme : DE, RB, CB et QB. Au Lycée j’ai joué seulement QB. À l’université j’ai été recruté comme QB mais j’ai aussi joué comme receveur durant le camp d’entraînement et sur les unités spéciales durant les matches.
BP : Have you played any other sports beside football? Which ones? (As tu pratiqué d’autres sports ?)
KB :When I was younger I played a bit of everything; I played soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey and golf. But football has been my passion for as long as I can remember.
F : Quand j’étais plus jeunes j’ai joué un peu à tout; Soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey et golf. Mais le football a été ma passion du plus loin que je me rappel.
BP : What was the best moment of your career? (Ton meilleur moment à ce jour ?)
KB : Some of my high school memories of winning games against our rivals and the memories I have of the comradery built between teammates over the years.
F : Quelques souvenirs de mes victoires au Lycées contre nos rivaux et des moments de camaraderies entre les coéquipiers à travers les années.
BP : … The worst? (… le pire ?)
KB : Having my career end at Cal and realizing that I was done with football.
F : Quand ma carrière à Cal c’est terminé and que j’ai réalisé que j’avais terminé le football.
BP : What are your objectives for the upcoming season with the Black Panthers? (Quels sont tes objectifs pour la saison à venir avec les Black Panthers ?)
To win a championship.
F : Gagner un championnat
BP : Do you have a particular life philosophy? (Une philosophie de vie particulière ?
Don’t settle for anything, and always push yourself to achieve whatever you want in life. “If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand.”
F : Ne pas s’asseoir sur de l’acquis, toujours se pousser pour achever quoi que ce soit dans la vie. ‘’Si tu t’y met la tête, tu pourras le tenir au bout de tes doigts’’
